Tollivar Trask

Tollivar Trask

Valourous Menagerie

Tolliver Trask is the military commander of the Free City garrison of 30-40 soldiers who patrol the roads and rivers to and from Diamond Lake.  Tollivar was militarily responsible for Pavric and Argento, but when both paid of their contracts, he shook their hands and wished them well.  Tollivar is a serious minded officer, but tries to live with grace, treat his men with respect, and all free people with dignity. He avoids town due to the malfeasance of Sheriff Cubbin, Balabar Smenk, Ragnolin Dourstone (who he despises), and the other greedy, materialistic, pursuits.

Fair Folk

Tolliver Trask is the military commander of the Free City garrison of 30-40 soldiers who patrol the roads and rivers to and from Diamond Lake.  He specifically requested Gal Sabbot to come to this frontier regions of he Free City military and train his men in polearms.  Tollivar was critical for integrating the Hebdomad and Moradin churches at the garrison, and son there was a small but blooming faith amongst the soldiers of the Free City garrison in the Hebdomad.  Since her departure most of the soldiers in the garrison have gone back to the church of Moradin, but they’ll light a prayer in remembrance for the Hebdomad.

Sherriff Cubbin

Valourous Menagerie

Miles Cubbin is the duly elected sheriff of Diamond Lake, appointed by a vote of the six mine managers, and staff by Lenod Neff himself.  Cubbin is a pugnacious, unctious, unpleasant individual, who does everything possible to maintain the status quo in town.  Even capita crimes such as murder are not investigated unless they ruffle the feathers of the common folk, or upset the mine managers.  Not all of his deputies are of a similar mind.  The Nightstalkers have had little interaction with him outside of reputation.

Fair Folk

Miles Cubbin is the elected representative to police Diamond Lake.  The six mine managers are actually the ones who vote for sheriff, and what hole they recruited him from, is unknown.  Slvio Estenfel worked with cubbin as a deputy for nearly a year, before paying off his service, and he’s learned little about Cubbin.  Miles has a brother in the free city, served as a mercenary for some time in the north, and otherwise settled into a life of vice, and politics.  He is known to have a stated goal to keep the status quo, and leave the mine managers to their own devices.  Cubbing also has a gilly somewhere in the vein.  Though no one’s caught him staring that looked.  Most of the deputies think he’s being taken advantage of by a card dealer at the Emporium named, “Daria Angel”.

Sherrif Cubbin
Lenod Neff

Lenod Neff

Valourous Menagerie

Lord Neff is the appointed representative of Diamond Lake, and has severed in that capacity for the last 5 years.  He is a bit dim witted, and conniving, but has kept his seat for two important reasons.  The biggest is Allustan is giving him council on how to politically deal with the mine managers, and secondly he is willing to let quite a lot of moral degradation slide as long as the ore the Fee City needs still gets to port on time.

Some people say that Lord Neff bears a rather striking resemblance to the famed Bastard Minstrel, Chris ChristoffSon, but this juicy piece of gossip is only spoken of when one is deep in their cups, and even then, it is mentioned quietly.

Fair Folk

Lenod Neff is the duly appointed lord/governor of Diamond Lake.  He was given that role 5 years ago, and has managed to keep his office, and actually increase ore supply to the Free City.  Lenod is good at politics, but shit at governance.  He keeps the mine managers happ, but is often so involved in their schemes and plots, that he does not see traps and problems.  This is why he so heavily relies on Allustan, a more abstract thinkers who see the lines and connections in their schemes.  That Lenod is humble enough to listen to Allustan’s wisdom is a testament to some common sense. Alduin has frequently worked with Lenod as a scribe and clerk.  They have a cordial and friendly relationship.

A chromatic red dragon born that lived for adventure.  Estinian was part of the Diamond Lake garrison and was stuck in Diamond Lake for the past 2 years.  As a local folk hero he had seen many battles but was bored in garrison life.  When Faelbin the Wizard asked Estinian to go on an adventure he pounced on the offer at the chance of some excitement.  After clearing out the rainbow colored cairn Estianian did not like the wizard who would not keep his mouth shut and also realized that adventuring was not quite right for him.  After taking his cut to pay Tollivar Trask to be released Estinian headed off to the free city to try his sword and axe at "the Arena".
